What is Troop 32 All About?
If you are a boy, age 11 or older, who likes the outdoors and enjoys learning new skills while having fun, we invite you to check out Troop 32! If you've never been in Scouting before, that's OK. You don't need to have been in Cub Scouts to be a part of Scouts BSA and Troop 32.
The leadership of Troop 32 believes that teaching a boy outdoor skills, self reliance, respect for nature and respect for others, while promoting community service increases his ability to give back to his family, his country and himself. We accomplish this by providing an active outdoor program and by reinforcing the ideals put forth by the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
We go camping almost every month of the year - at local parks like Allaire, Cheesequake, Brendan Byrne, Turkey Swamp and Bass River, Scout Camps in NJ, NY and Pennsylvania, such as Camp NoBeBoSco, Camp Alpine, Citta Scout Reservation and Camp Pouch, as well as long-distance trips, such as Washington, D.C., Gettysburg, Boston, and Philadelphia.
Campouts are an integral part of learning Scout skills, such as knot-tying, fire-building, first aid, knife/axe care, and cooking. Troop meetings are used to teach these and other Scout skills, to plan campouts, have fun with old friends, and make some new ones. Boys also learn leadership and communication skills.
